JOHOR BARU: Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi announced that the Johor Budget 2024 will be presented on Nov 23. The Mentri Besar stated that the budget announcement will address several issues, with a particular focus on food security. Emphasizing the long-term effects of climate change, Onn Hafiz asserted that food security is a top priority for the state government. Additionally, the government intends to continue collaborating with the Federal Government to reinforce Johor’s position as a food bank. On Friday (Oct 20), after participating in the Jualan Rahmah program held at Hospital Sultan Ismail’s parking lot, Onn Hafiz informed reporters that he would be meeting with Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu to discuss the matter further before the state budget announcement.
Onn Hafiz also expressed his support for the Jualan Rahmah program, noting its significance in providing opportunities for the lower-income group to purchase subsidized items like eggs, cooking oil, and chicken.
