The Road Transport Department (JPJ) is currently compiling its Inspection and Safety Audit (JISA) on the trailer that caused a fatal accident near Putrajaya. The minister instructed the department to conduct the audit immediately after the accident. Deputy Director-General Aedy Fadly Ramli confirmed their involvement in the investigation and stated that the JISA report would be handed over to the Land Public Transport Agency for further action on Monday, September 25. The police provided the accident report on Friday, and the department is now working on completing their report.
When asked about how they would determine if the lorry was overloaded since its load was scattered on the road after it overturned, Aedy Fadli explained that their investigators would not solely rely on evidence from the accident scene. They would also visit the location where the lorry obtained its load. On September 20, near Putrajaya, a lorry collided with multiple vehicles on Jalan Persiaran Utara, resulting in the deaths of two motorcyclists and injuries to several others. The accident occurred at around 10:14 a.m. when the victims and eleven other vehicles were making way for a traffic police convoy assigned to Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) escort duty. The victims were identified as two men aged 25 and 39. Six injured victims were sent to Hospital Serdang and Hospital Putrajaya for medical treatment.
