Police have arrested a masseur in Kedah for allegedly making bomb threats against the house of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The 41-year-old suspect was apprehended by authorities at Kuala Muda, Kedah, on Sunday (Aug 27) around 2.30pm. The threat was initially reported on Saturday (Aug 26) to the Bukit Aman CID director, Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, who confirmed the arrest during a press conference on Monday (Aug 28).
The threat was posted on Facebook under the username ‘JoeJebatTajuddin’. Law enforcement officers successfully identified the suspect and proceeded to arrest him. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had previously been involved in three drug-related offenses. To facilitate ongoing investigations, the suspect has been remanded for four days.
