Several key figures in the “Aksi Bertindak: Kepung Demi Palestin” protest showed up for questioning at Wangsa Maju police headquarters on Friday morning of Jan 5th.
The individuals present included former Bar Council president Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan, former Petaling Jaya MP and activist Maria Chin Abdullah, Muda secretary-general Amir Hariri Abdul Hadi, former Batu MP Tian Chua, and PSM secretary-general Sivarajan Arumugam.

Amir Hariri informed the media that they did not understand why they were being called in for questioning considering the protest was peaceful.
“This not only wastes the media’s time but also our time and the time of the authorities who are investigating this matter.
“We will go in and find out just why we have been called to have our statements recorded.
“Once we are done we will address the media again,” he said.
