KUANTAN: In a recent statement, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah emphasized the importance of being cautious when choosing a location for recreation. While disasters can occur anywhere, Al-Sultan Abdullah urged people to take precautionary measures to minimize the risk of untoward incidents. The King stated, “I hope (everyone) will be more careful… it’s good to obtain all related information before taking the family to a new place.” His Majesty expressed these sentiments during a press conference at the Ubbudiah Mosque in Felda Lepar Hilir 3 on Monday (July 10).

During his visit to the families affected by the water surge tragedy in Jeram Air Putih, Terengganu on July 1, the King participated in a tahlil session led by Pahang Mufti, Datuk Seri Dr Abdul Rahman Osman, and offered prayers with the congregation. Moreover, the King expressed his gratitude to all the relevant parties, including government agencies and departments, for their efforts in the search for victims. So far, nine out of ten victims have been recovered. His Majesty expressed his heartfelt appreciation, saying, “Thank you for going all out with the help which allowed the remains to be brought home for burial. Thank you to the Felda management who helped manage the funerals.”
