On March 1st, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, extended his greetings to all Malaysian Army personnel and veterans, as well as those who have served in the military branch, in honor of its 91st anniversary. Sultan Ibrahim took to Facebook to express his gratitude to the army personnel for their dedication in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and ensuring the safety of its people.
As the Supreme Commander of the Malaysian Armed Forces, His Majesty also praised and deeply appreciated the services and sacrifices made by both current and former army personnel in protecting the nation’s security and sovereignty.
He also remembered those who have passed away, stating, “Al-Fatihah for those who have left us. May their souls be placed among the believers and martyrs.” Sultan Ibrahim emphasized that the services and sacrifices made by the army personnel cannot be quantified with any amount of money.
Army Day is celebrated annually on March 1st, with the purpose of strengthening unity among its personnel and building closer relationships with the community. It also serves as a day to remember the sacrifices of those who have fought to uphold the country’s sovereignty.
Activities in celebration of the 91st Army Day took place at Dataran Segamat, Johor, from the previous day until today. These activities included tattoo performances, information sessions on army careers, as well as an exhibition featuring army assets. – Bernama
