Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah presented contributions to 100 individuals from the asnaf (tithe recipients) group and people with disabilities during their visit to Sipitang on Thursday (Sept 7).
Accompanying them were Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and his wife Datin Seri Datuk Juliah Salag. The dining ceremony with the people took place at the Masjid Sahabat Sindumin-Merapok vicinity as part of the Kembara Kenali Borneo (Sabah) programme.
Also in attendance were Yang Di-pertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin and his wife, Toh Puan Norlidah R.M. Jasni, as well as Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Shahelmey Yahya, state secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong, and local community leaders.
Sindumin, Sipitang served as the final location for the Sabah leg of the Kembara Kenali Borneo tour. On Thursday evening, the royal entourage commenced their journey to neighboring Sarawak.
