His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim of Malaysia granted an audience to Datuk Seri Chai Kee Kan, the owner of KK Mart, following the recent controversial socks issue. During the 15-minute meeting on Wednesday, Chai expressed his remorse and apologized to the King and the Muslim community for the incident.

The King emphasized the importance of vigilance when selling products, particularly imported goods, to prevent similar issues from arising in the future. His Majesty decreed that all parties, including KK Mart, must exercise caution in their product selection.
