Efforts are being made by the Norwegian Royal Palace for King Harald V to return to Norway in the near future, as announced recently.

As per a statement on the palace’s website www.royalcourt.no, it was disclosed that the King, currently receiving treatment in Langkawi, Malaysia, will continue his stay at the hospital for a few more days.

The statement highlighted that the King is being well looked after and his personal physician affirmed that His Majesty is showing signs of improvement.

“The plan is for His Majesty to fly back to Norway in the coming days. The Norwegian Government is assisting with transport arrangements, while the Norwegian Armed Forces are managing the practical aspects of his return,” the statement conveyed.

Prior news reports from Bernama outlined that King Harald V had fallen ill during his holiday in Malaysia and has since been receiving medical treatment at Sultanah Maliha Hospital (HSM) in Langkawi.
