A Betong English teacher is thrilled that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has assisted in naming her future child. Naldiana Umping managed to pass a note with various name options for a boy or a girl to the King during a stop at the Simpang Layar Petronas petrol station to refuel on September 12. She did not have the opportunity to speak with the King and did not anticipate receiving a response. “I didn’t get a chance to talk to them since it was so crowded,” The Borneo Post reported.
However, 30 minutes later, Naldiana came across an Instagram Story by the Regent of Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah. She was ecstatic to discover that it was the note she had given to the King and that he had selected the name Nichella Inez Starla for a girl and Syderek Neville if it was a boy.
Naldiana, who teaches at SK Ng Ajau, which is located close to where the royal family had arrived, took a screenshot of Tengku Hassanal’s post, printed it out, and framed it. She and her husband Sonny have been married for three years and are hopeful that they will conceive their first child next year.
Images of the King’s chosen names and Naldiana’s framed screenshot of the post were widely shared on social media.
