KUALA LUMPUR: Two suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with the murder of a male victim in Wangsa Maju. The victim was discovered with severe head injuries at a parking lot in Danau Kota. The report was lodged by the victim’s sister at 1.48am on Sunday, September 10. According to Wangsa Maju Supt Ashari Abu Samah, investigations revealed injuries to the victim’s head, including the eye and cheek, as well as bruises on the ribs and shoulders.
The arrested suspects are aged 36 and 37 respectively. Police made the arrests at the scene of the incident. A statement released on Sunday stated that investigations will be carried out under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which pertains to murder and carries the death penalty if a guilty verdict is reached.
The motive behind the murder is still under investigation, as per Supt Ashari Abu Samah. He also urged the public not to speculate or incite unrest concerning the incident.
