KUALA LUMPUR: Authorities in Kuala Lumpur are seeking the whereabouts of five men who are suspected of being involved in the gang rape of a woman in the city.
Assistant Comm Siti Kamsiah Hassan, the assistant director of the Bukit Aman Sexual, Women, and Child Investigations Division (D11), confirmed the incident. “Yes, it is a rape case. Kuala Lumpur (police) is investigating the matter,” she said on Thursday (Aug 31).
According to a report by Berita Harian, the 27-year-old victim was sexually assaulted at a residence in Wangsa Maju on Wednesday (Aug 30).
One of the suspects is believed to be the victim’s brother-in-law.
Efforts are currently being made to reach out to the Kuala Lumpur police for further details regarding the case.
