Following a landslide incident on Saturday evening, the Petaling District and Land Office will be conducting a comprehensive inspection of 26 terrace houses along Jalan Wawasan in Puchong. District officer Rahilah Rahmat stated that the inspection will include an analysis of the structure of the houses, nine of which have been vacated and 17 others that are still occupied.

Rahilah also mentioned that they will be checking for any cracks in each house and the possibility of pre-existing cracks that the residents may not be aware of. Only nine houses have been affected so far, and other houses in the same row are not involved. However, they are awaiting the results of a report from the Department of Mineral and Geoscience (JMG) before taking further action.

On whether there was still any soil movement in the area, Rahilah stated that the preliminary JMG report found no signs of movement. She also mentioned that her team is working to expedite the repair works on the slope, considering the unpredictable weather conditions.

Meanwhile, Bernama reported that the installation of iron piles was actively taking place around the landslide area and the unaffected soil embankment. The police have set up a control post at the incident site, and barrier tape has been placed to prevent residents from approaching the affected area.

Two articles related to the incident were linked in the news. The first article mentions that the Municipal Council of Subang Jaya (MBSJ) will use 375 sheet piles to prevent further erosion at the site. The second article reports that four cars and nine houses were damaged during the landslide.
