KUALA LUMPUR: A number of legislators have urged the police to investigate Kepala Batas MP Dr Siti Mastura Mohamad for her claim that DAP stalwart Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang is related to Chin Peng.
Bukit Bendera MP Syerleena Rashid filed a report at the Travers police station on Thursday (Nov 9), alleging that Dr Siti’s remarks were malicious and intended to distort facts and create a negative perception of Kit Siang and his family.
“She also claimed that Kit Siang and his son Guan Eng were related to Housing and Local Government minister Nga Kor Meng, Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, Beruas MP Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham and Transport Minister Anthony Loke in an attempt to suggest that DAP practices nepotism and power abuse,” she said while speaking outside the police station on Thursday.
“In the video, she also mentioned that Kit Siang was related to former Singapore Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew and referred to him as Lim Kuan Yew in her speech,” Syerleena added.
She noted that Dr Siti had failed to offer any clarification or evidence to support her allegations.
Syerleena was joined by Kluang MP Wong Shu Qi, Subang Jaya MP Michelle Ng, and Bandar Kuching MP Kelvin Yii.
