RENOWNED luxury jewellery brand Le Lumiere, and Henry Butcher Art Auctioneers (HBAA), Malaysia’s leading art auction house, have announced a groundbreaking collaboration that merges the worlds of fine jewellery and exquisite art.
Till Oct 14, Le Lumiere will present a curated collection of exceptional artworks from renowned Malaysian artists, including Datuk Ibrahim Hussein, Awang Damit Ahmad and Khalil Ibrahim.
These pieces, meticulously selected by HBAA, offer a glimpse into the rich tapestry of Malaysian art and culture, showcasing the diverse styles, heritage and artistic expressions that define the nation’s creative landscape.
To complement this artistic showcase, Le Lumiere is also shining the spotlight on its latest jewellery collection, featuring stunning pieces crafted with precision and passion.
Featured opulent offerings include the Midnight Waves bracelet with 7.62 carats of sapphires and 2.06 carats of diamonds, the Duchesse necklace showcasing a collar design with a 3.68-carat emerald, encircled by 166 melee diamonds, and the Twinkling Tassel necklace in white gold, featuring a cascading design of 28.63 carats of F-colour diamonds.
The launch event, which took place at Le Lumiere’s flagship store at The Exchange TRX, commenced with an insightful speech by Tomei Consolidated Berhad managing director Datuk Ng Yih Pyng.
In his speech, Ng – a distinguished figure in the jewellery industry, emphasised the significance of this business collaboration, which caters to adjacent luxury markets.
“This collaboration embodies a shared vision: the belief that while our industries – jewellery and art – each possess their unique appeal, together they create an experience that is richer and more profound.”
He further added, “Both jewellery and art speak to the same discerning luxury market, and by uniting them, we offer an experience that transcends mere possession, inviting our guests to appreciate beauty, craftsmanship, artistry and the stories they tell.”
Following the opening remarks, Le Lumiere hosted an art talk featuring HBAA director Sim Polenn, who explored the topic of “Appreciate Art, Art Appreciates”, offering insights into the local art market and the factors that influence art values.
While the jewellery collection is available for purchase, the accompanying featured artworks will not be for sale during this exhibition.
These masterpieces will remain on public display at Le Lumiere’s premises until the Henry Butcher auction on Dec 8, where art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to bid on the remarkable works.
