In response to the controversial socks issue involving KK Super Mart, the Retired Senior Police Officers Association of Malaysia (Respa) emphasized the importance of letting the authorities handle the situation in accordance with the law. President Datuk Meor Chek Hussien Mahayuddin urged all parties, regardless of their background, to refrain from taking matters into their own hands.
Meor Chek Hussien emphasized the need to learn from the incident with humility and strive for what is best for the country and its citizens. He highlighted the importance of setting a positive example for the younger generation by handling issues peacefully and constructively.
Recent incidents, including molotov cocktail attacks on KK Super Mart stores and the arrest of Umno Youth chief Dr Muhamah Akmal Saleh, have raised concerns. However, Meor Chek Hussien noted that authorities have taken swift action to address the situation before it escalated further.
He commended the police, the courts, and King Sultan Ibrahim for their efforts in addressing the issue appropriately. Meor Chek Hussien urged all parties to refrain from taking any actions that could exacerbate the situation.
He stressed the importance of unity among Malaysians and building stronger bonds with each other. By fostering a spirit of unity, he believes that individuals can avoid narrow perspectives and work towards a harmonious society.
