KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Bank and Hong Leong Islamic Bank (HLB) will not charge transaction fees and fees for all merchants accepting payments via DuitNow QR until further notice.
The bank stated that this decision is part of their ongoing commitment to promote digital and cashless payments throughout the country.
“The waiver of transaction fees and fees covers DuitNow QR transactions made through current and savings accounts, e-wallets, and credit cards.
“Furthermore, HLB does not impose any fees on maintaining the service, point-of-sales materials, and application programming interface integration,” the bank said in a statement.
By removing these fees, the banking group believes that more businesses will be encouraged to adopt digital payment solutions, ultimately creating a stronger and more competitive business environment. – Bernama
