The unity government spokesman has advised PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan to reflect on his own actions before disregarding threats against the Prime Minister. This follows Takiyuddin labeling Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as an “alarmist” in response to recent threats he received. The spokesman suggested that PAS also tends to exaggerate situations, as observed during the state elections, when they claimed that voting for certain parties would cause havoc throughout the country. The Communications and Digital Minister, Fahmi, suggested that Takiyuddin should introspect and consider his party’s behavior before criticizing others.
Fahmi’s comments were made during a press conference after the launch of DNB’s “My5G Portal” on Thursday, October 26. He was asked to respond to Takiyuddin’s remarks, as the latter had deemed Anwar’s claim of being threatened due to his criticism of the Israeli government as “strange and amusing.” Takiyuddin further advised Anwar against using such statements to portray his leadership abilities.
