Lorry driver killed after lorry falls into ravine in Kunak

A lorry driver, Sanuddin Djidi, aged 43, died after his vehicle fell into a ravine in Kunak on Tuesday (Sept 5).

Sanuddin Djidi was pronounced dead at the site of the incident by the medical officer. Firefighters had to remove his body from the vehicle.

The Fire and Rescue Department was alerted about the accident on Jalan Tun Fuad, Ladang Sungang at 10.33 am. A team from Kunak fire station was dispatched to the scene.

The fire rescue team succeeded in extracting the victim’s body from inside the vehicle. The spokesman mentioned that the remains were handed over to the police for further investigation. The operation was successfully concluded at 11.45 am.
