IPOH: On Monday (Oct 16) morning, two skeletons believed to be human remains were discovered on the rooftop of a building adjacent to a bank in Sitiawan, according to Manjung OCPD Asst Comm Mohamed Nordin Abdullah. The police were alerted to the finding by a woman who reported it at 10.20am the same day. An initial inspection at the scene revealed two human skeletons, but their gender and identity were unknown, ACP Mohamed Nordin explained on Monday night.
SCP Mohamed Nordin further reported the discovery of a Perak flag, several pieces of black cellophane tape, pieces of cloth with colourful patterns, and the remnants of a Perak flag at the scene. Additionally, the authorities found a stained white shirt, a blue pillow case, two red plastic bags each containing a human skull, and a knife with a black plastic tip among the skeletal remains. The remains have been transferred to the forensic unit of Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for autopsy.
Considering the circumstances, the case has been classified as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code, ACP Mohamed Nordin announced. The police are seeking the public’s assistance in providing information related to the incident.
