PETALING JAYA: Ezad Zainal, the husband of Pro-Perikatan Nasional blogger Ratu Naga, has reported that she was taken into custody by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers.
According to Zainal, the MACC officers arrived at their residence in Old Klang Road around 9:20am on Friday and proceeded to conduct a search of the premises.
He stated, “They came, they searched (the house) and they took her. I don’t have any information on her condition as they did not allow my lawyer to negotiate.”

Ratu Naga, whose legal name is Syarul Ema Rena Abu Samah, was under police investigation in October due to her social media posts that were deemed defamatory towards Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, the wife of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In December, she initiated legal action against the government in an effort to nullify a provision in the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 that mandates organizers to inform the police in advance of any planned gatherings, arguing that it was unenforceable.
