The Madani Government One Year Anniversary Programme is set to begin on Friday, December 8th at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, and will provide the public with an opportunity to observe the government’s report card for the past year. Lasting three days, until Sunday, the program aims to disseminate and promote the policies and new initiatives introduced by the Unity Government since taking over the administration on November 24, 2022.
The event, with a target of 200,000 visitors, also aims to increase public awareness and understanding of the government’s direction and goals. It also seeks to build trust and confidence between the government and the people through periodic achievement reporting. Various services will be available, including counters for traffic summons payment, registration for the Rahmah Cash Aid and ‘Cuti-Cuti Cikgu’ holiday program, as well as unclaimed money.
Each ministry will set up booths with special programs such as breast and cervical cancer screenings, the Madani Mega Sale, mobile dental and general health clinics, as well as counters to reprint public examination certificates, Rahmah Sales, free health screenings, and lucky draws. Additionally, exhibitions featuring assets from the Malaysian Armed Forces, the Malaysian Civil Defence Force, and the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department will be on display at the Bukit Jalil stadium grounds.
The program will also include sun observation using telescopes, interactive presentations on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) including drone and robotic displays, as well as the ‘Bara Membara’ science show and the From Earth to Universe Space Exploration program. Scheduled to run from 9am to 10pm, the focus will be on three components: the achievement showcase, the people’s touchpoint service, and the People’s Well-being Initiatives. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to close the program on December 10.
According to Anwar, the program is not just a celebration, but a way to report to the people what has been accomplished, while also providing various services. He emphasized that the goal is to highlight the achievements of each ministry and provide a Rahmah Sales program. The program is organized by the Prime Minister’s Office through the Project Acceleration and Coordination Unit and the Malaysia Productivity Corporation as a joint secretariat in collaboration with ministries, government-linked companies, non-governmental organizations, private entities, and stakeholders. – Bernama
