Malaysia has strongly criticized the recent assault by the Israeli regime on Palestinians in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of over 100 people and leaving around 700 others injured on February 29.
In a statement released by the Foreign Ministry (Wisma Putra) on Saturday (March 2), the Malaysian government expressed deep outrage at the killing of unarmed Palestinians who were in need of essential aid at the Nabulsi roundabout in the Northern Gaza Strip.

“Malaysia strongly condemns the cowardly act of targeting Palestinians, including women and children, by Israeli forces. These actions not only violate international law but also go against the interim measures set by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Jan 26 and the 1948 Genocide Convention,” the statement said.
Malaysia has reiterated its demand for an immediate and lasting ceasefire to stop the senseless killing of innocent people and to ensure the safe and unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need in Gaza.
The international community has been urged to pressure Israel to stop its atrocities and abide by its obligations under international law.

“Given the seriousness of the situation, Malaysia urges the international community to recognize and fulfill its humanitarian, ethical, and legal duties to prevent further loss of life,” the statement added.
Malaysia also reiterated its firm belief that Palestinians deserve the realization of their own independent and sovereign state, based on the borders before 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The recent Israeli attack has once again triggered outrage and strong condemnation from around the world, as reported by the Palestine News Agency (Wafa) on Friday.
Wafa also reported that United Nations (UN) Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, condemned the assault on Palestinian civilians during the aid delivery in northern Gaza. – Bernama
