A 21-year-old man died when his car crashed into a tree at Kota Iskandar Highway, as per Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Rahmat Ariffin.
On Saturday (Dec 9) at 4.55am, near Masjid Kota Iskandar, the incident occurred, according to Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Rahmat Ariffin.
According to ACP Rahmat Ariffin, the vehicle was from the Kota Iskandar Highway and heading towards Medini and crashed into the roundabout. The impact caused the vehicle to jump over the road divider and crash into the tree, he explained in a statement.
The victim’s body was then taken to the Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA) for a post-mortem.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road and Transport Act of 1987.
The victim has been identified as Vincent Boo Yu Leng, according to Iskandar Puteri Fire and Rescue Department operation commander Saifulizam Salleh.
According to Saifulizam Salleh, Vincent Boo Yu Leng was pinned to the driver’s seat and was extricated using rescue tools. He was then pronounced dead at the scene by the medical team before being handed over to the police for further action.
