In a tragic incident near Taman Klebang Restu, a 20-year-old man and his 11-month-old baby girl lost their lives in a three-vehicle pile-up. Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Hassan stated that the incident occurred on Saturday (Feb 17) around 7am.

The man, driving a sedan, attempted to cross a junction, resulting in a luxury car from the Sungai Siput direction crashing into the sedan. This collision caused the sedan to crash into an MPV, which was on a slip road near Jalan Klebang Restu

The 20-year-old man was killed at the scene, while the baby girl sustained serious injuries and passed away while receiving treatment at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital. ACP Yahaya confirmed that the others involved in the accident were unharmed.

Both victims have been sent to the hospital’s forensics unit for post-mortem, and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act. ACP Yahaya urged anyone with information or who witnessed the accident to contact investigating officer Insp Muhamad Shahrul Rizwan Wan Ali at 013-621 8531 or go to the nearest police station to assist with the investigation.
