A 22-year-old man was discovered dead at Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor Baru after falling from a height. The incident occurred at approximately 5.20pm on Monday, November 6, according to Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat. The hospital management promptly notified the police about the tragic event.
ACp Raub confirmed that the deceased suffered from a mental disability and had been admitted to HSI since Saturday, November 5. He had been scheduled for knee surgery on his right leg on Wednesday, November 8, but the procedure was cancelled due to his flu symptoms, as stated by ACP Raub on November 7.
Following the cancellation of the operation, the hospital permitted the victim’s discharge. The police did not discover any signs of foul play at the scene, leading them to classify the case as sudden death.
ACP Raub urged any witnesses to the incident to contact the Johor Baru South police hotline at 07-2182323 or to file a report at the nearest police station. Two videos capturing the incident have since circulated widely on social media.
