In Tamparuli on Tuesday (Jan 16), the Fire and Rescue Department was called to assist in moving the body of a 59-year-old man who was discovered dead during a trip to an orchard. Lotimin Maun had left his home at Kampung Ruhiang to do gardening work at 2:30am and was expected to return home at 6:30am. When he did not return, villagers went searching for him and found him unconscious at 12:30pm.
Following the report at 3:20pm, a team from Tuaran Fire Station arrived and used a stretcher to remove the victim’s body from the orchard before handing him over to the police. The police forensics team declared his death at the scene. The operation concluded at 4:30pm, according to the Department spokesman.
