A tragic incident occurred near Port Klang as a man was discovered dead after being hit by a train. The South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong revealed in a statement on Saturday (Feb 24) that a MERS 999 call was received on Wednesday (Feb 21) reporting the discovery of a shirtless body on the train tracks.
The victim, identified as a 19-year-old foreigner, sustained severe injuries believed to have been caused by the train impact. A post mortem examination confirmed that the cause of death was severe lower limb injuries resulting from the collision.
ACCP Cha mentioned that, thus far, no evidence of foul play has emerged, leading authorities to open a Sudden Death Report to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The authorities are working to piece together information and gather any relevant details that may shed light on how the victim ended up on the train tracks and was subsequently hit by a passing train. Investigations are ongoing to determine the sequence of events leading up to the tragic outcome.
