During a storm in Ipoh, a large tree fell on a wooden house on Jalan Tanjung Rambutan, killing an Indonesian man and injuring five others. Perak Fire and Rescue Department operations centre officer-in-charge Saiful Rizan Sulaiman stated that the deceased, thought to be a worker at a nearby memorial park, was pronounced dead by medical personnel at 6.15 pm on Tuesday. Four other Indonesian men suffered minor injuries, while another was badly injured.”

All of them have been taken to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for treatment,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Feb 6).

Saiful Rizan revealed that they received a call at approximately 5.45 pm regarding seven people in the house. “However, new information revealed there were only six people, so all are accounted for,” he said, adding that the operation ended at around 9.40 pm.
