IPOH: A 48-year-old woman has been found stabbed to death in her house at Laluan Simee 11, Kampung Simee here and police have arrested her husband in connection with the crime.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the police received information about the case at 9.35am Wednesday (June 12).
“The victim was found in a pool of blood on the porch of her house
“There were three stab wounds on her chest and an injury to her head.
“The motive of the murder has yet to be ascertained but based on a statement from a family member, the victim used to frequently argue with her husband,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
ACP Abang Zainal Abidin said at about 10am, police arrested the victim’s 56-year-old husband for investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, adding that they also seized a metal rod from the scene.
“A remand order will be obtained at the Magistrate’s Court on Thursday (June 13) morning.
“The police urge those with information on the case to come forward or contact investigating officer Asst Supt S. Dasarathan at 012-564 4484,” he said.
