According to Pasir Puteh district police chief Supt Zaizul Rizal Zakaria, a 55-year-old man was seriously injured after being attacked by two masked men armed with swords at Kampung Wakaf Berangan, Pasir Puteh. The police received a report on the incident at 10.30 pm on Tuesday (Nov 7).
The victim and his friend were enjoying a drink at a coffee shop when the two masked men, each wielding a parang, launched a sudden attack on the victim, repeatedly slashing him across the body and wrists. After the assault, the two assailants fled in a Proton Saga driven by a third suspect,” Zaizul said in a statement on Wednesday (Nov 8).
He also mentioned that the victim’s condition was reported to be serious at Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) in Kubang Kerian.- Bernama
