A 45-year-old woman was attacked by her boyfriend in a parking lot at a condominium in Bukit Antarabangsa, Ampang after she expressed her desire to end their relationship. Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail stated that the incident took place at 2.52am on Sunday (Aug 6), where the boyfriend also vandalized the woman’s car by damaging the tires and breaking the front windscreen.
Upon exiting the vehicle, the victim attempted to escape, but the boyfriend pursued her and assaulted her with a sharp object. She sustained injuries to her stomach and left hand. The victim was immediately taken to Hospital Ampang for medical treatment.
Authorities suspect that the violent act occurred due to the victim’s decision to end the relationship. The victim and the suspect had met three months ago through a chat application. The police have identified the suspect and are currently in pursuit of him. The case is being investigate under Section 324 of the Penal Code, which deals with causing hurt with a weapon.
