PETALING JAYA: A 50-year-old man will be charged with the murder of an interior designer at an apartment in Bandar Sri Damansara.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shahrulnizam Ja’afar said the suspect will be charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
“We believe he was in the midst of robbing and ransacking the victim’s apartment unit when the latter reached home. A scuffle ensued that led to the death of the victim,” he said when contacted on Tuesday (Oct 1).
He said the suspect will be brought to the Petaling Jaya court complex where he will be prosecuted.
Three men were detained in connection with the stabbing murder of a 36-year-old interior designer at an apartment in Bandar Sri Damansara.
The male victim was found fatally stabbed in his apartment on Sept 16.
“His neighbour lodged a police report after hearing an altercation from the victim’s apartment at about 11pm and did not see his neighbour after the incident.
A team of policemen was dispatched to the scene and discovered that the victim died due to stab wounds sustained in the attack.
Investigations led police to arrest the suspects aged between 50 and 61 at a condominium in Kuala Lumpur.
