KUALA LUMPUR: The suspect, 42, accused of killing his parents in Kampung Sungai Penchala, was apprehended within two hours and 40 minutes of the crime.
Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor stated that the individual was apprehended at the Penchala tunnel around 10:30pm on Saturday (Dec 9).
“The suspect has a history of nine drug-related offenses,” ACP Amihizam said.
“The suspect initially fled into a nearby forested area, but we were able to locate and apprehend him,” he stated in a release on Saturday (Dec 9).
The authorities received a notification around 7:45pm following a disruption heard by neighbors between the suspect and his parents.
“The 72 and 82-year-old parents were discovered stabbed and lying on the living room floor,” he mentioned.
