A search operation has come to an end after the discovery of the body of a man who reportedly fell off the Endau Bridge on Wednesday (July 26). The body was found by anglers at 12:44am on Friday (July 28) near the Endau Fisheries Development Board jetty.
Mohd Alias Hussin, a senior officer from the Fire and Rescue Department, stated that the body was found approximately 100m away from the location where the victim fell. The search operation utilized various methods, including the “surface and search” technique. It was a joint effort led by the Fire and Rescue Department at Kuala Sungai Endau, involving personnel from the marine police, regular police, and the Civil Defence Force.
The victim’s body has been handed over to the police for further action, and the operation concluded at 1:35am.
