SEPANG: In Sepang, a teacher is currently under investigation for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with one of her students. Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof revealed that the police became aware of the situation when the student’s mother filed a report on December 12. The 46-year-old woman noticed red marks on her son’s neck and suspected something was amiss after he returned home from studying with his mathematics teacher.
The incident reportedly took place around 4.50pm on December 12, with the boy claiming to his mother that he was supposed to be at the library but was actually with his teacher. According to the boy, the teacher hugged and kissed him, resulting in the marks on his neck. The teacher, identified as a 37-year-old woman, is now at the center of the investigation. The victim was also sent for a medical assessment following the incident.
The authorities have initiated investigations under Section 14 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 for physical sexual assault on a child. In addition, there have been various social media posts circulating about alleged sexual misconduct between a teacher and a student. ACP Wan Kamarul Azran mentioned that the investigation report is being finalized and will be forwarded to the deputy public prosecutor for further guidance.
He emphasized the importance of refraining from spreading unverified information and speculating on the matter, urging the public to exercise caution when sharing news related to the investigation. The seriousness of the allegations requires a thorough and objective approach to uncover the truth behind the incident.
