A pleasant surprise awaited the family of Siti Nur Maizurah Rahman in Ayer Hitam when their local leaders paid them a visit at home. Siti, a 28-year-old visually impaired woman, had recently suffered a broken leg from a fall. Upon hearing of her situation, Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon went to visit her and lift her spirits.
Expressing his hope for Siti’s speedy recovery, Dr Wee wrote on Facebook, “Let’s pray for the speedy recovery of Siti so that she can live normally again.” He also pledged to provide her with a suitable wheelchair and other necessary items for her rehabilitation. In addition, Ling promised to arrange ambulance transportation for Siti’s upcoming hospital follow-up.
During their visit, both Dr Wee and Ling distributed boxes of dates to civil servants in the Ayer Hitam constituency, which included policemen and firefighters. Dr Wee expressed his gratitude to these dedicated individuals, saying, “Thank you all for always standing behind all Malaysians, safeguarding their lives and belongings all the time.”
