Metal roof piece flies off, ends up blocking front of house

KUALA LUMPUR: Metal roof pieces were seen flying off a nearby flat and a stall in Taman Ampang Hilir, eventually blocking a driveway of a house.

Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, assistant director of Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, stated that they received a report about the incident at 4.49pm on Sunday (Aug 27).

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters, aided by members of the public and the municipality, swiftly removed the roof pieces.

He added, “Subsequently, we handed over the pieces to Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) and the police for further investigation. Our team left the area after ensuring that the surroundings were safe.”
