PETALING JAYA: MYAirline has expressed concerns that inaccuracies and misinformation in news reports could hinder its efforts to revive the beleaguered airline. The company highlighted that such reports may have a negative impact, especially as they are currently in advanced discussions with potential investors.
The airline clarified that six out of the ten aircraft previously under its management have been deregistered by the lessors, a move that follows industry practices to protect the assets of lessors. It further stated that the remaining four aircraft continue to be registered and managed by the lessors with the assistance of MYAirline’s Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation.
The airline emphasized that these aircraft have been under lessor control since October 13 of this year and that they are actively engaged in discussions with their lessors to retain these aircraft after the recapitalization process concludes.
Addressing the issue of their licenses, MYAirline clarified that their licenses have been suspended and not revoked. The airline justified this suspension, stating that it serves their organization’s interests, given their strong operational track record in terms of technical, safety, and operational aspects.
