PUTRAJAYA: Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir, a businessman, has been asked to attend an investigation at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) related to a government-linked company.

Sinar Harian reported that Mokhzani, the second son of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, arrived at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at about 11am on Friday (Jan 26) for investigation under the MACC Act 2009 and the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorist Financing and Proceeds from Illegal Activities Act 2001.

Mokhzani’s presence was confirmed by MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki.

“Yes, I confirm. He was present this morning,” he told Sinar Harian.

His brother, Datuk Mirzan Mahathir, was previously questioned by the MACC on Jan 17.
