By 8 pm, the number of flood victims in Beaufort, Sabah, has risen from 102 to 228.
The Sabah State Disaster Management Committee has relocated all the victims to the Dewan Selagon temporary relief centre, which was opened on Friday (Sept 22).
“All of the evacuees are from five villages in Beaufort. We are closely monitoring the flood hotspots in the district,” the committee stated.
Meanwhile, the Perak State Disaster Management Committee reports a spike in the number of flash flood victims in the state since 6 pm. The SK Changkat Lobak temporary relief centre in Kerain remains open.
