Bukit Gantang MP Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal claims that an increasing number of Perikatan Nasional lawmakers will shift their support to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
According to the Bersatu lawmaker, there are seven to eight more MPs from the Opposition bloc who will soon declare support for Anwar, as reported by Sinar Harian.
On November 28, Syed Abu Hussin became the fifth MP from Bersatu to switch allegiance to the government.
Prior to this, four Bersatu MPs had already shifted their support to Anwar’s leadership.

Syed Abu Hussin mentioned that no action had been taken against him by Bersatu and that none of the Bersatu or Perikatan leaders had sought an explanation for his support for Anwar.

However, he noted that his contact number had been removed from the Perikatan Whatsapp group.
According to Syed Abu Hussin, he did not violate any party rules and stated that Bersatu’s constitution does not prohibit anyone from giving support to the prime minister.
He also mentioned that if the party wanted to take action, it would need to go through the disciplinary committee, which would decide what form of action could be taken against him.
