More Rahmah Sales programmes will be conducted in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan to ensure that the price of chicken remains reasonable, according to Acting Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali. He also stated that the ministry will work to increase the supply of chicken while keeping the price discounted at a rate of 10% to 30%. The aim of this approach is to make chicken affordable for low and middle-income individuals,” he said. Following his attendance at a Rahmah Sales programme at Kampung Kebatu Kabidang in Beaufort, approximately 100km away from Kota Kinabalu, on Sunday (Nov 5), Armizan spoke to reporters.
The main focus of the programme will be areas where chicken prices have been significantly higher.
