One motorcyclist was killed and two others sustained serious injuries after a collision near Bandar IOI in Johor Baru. The Segamat OCPD Superintendent, Ahmad Zamry Marinsah, stated that the incident came to light when a dashboard camera footage of the accident was uploaded on social media on October 1. According to the footage, three motorcycles were speeding in the right lane when the accident occurred at KM180 of Jalan Johor Baru-Seremban near the Bandar IOI turn-off. Two of the motorcycles collided with another motorcycle on the left lane while the third motorcycle managed to avoid the pile-up by swerving away in time. The video depicted the motorcyclists lying on the ground with motorcycle parts scattered on the road. The 21-year-old motorcyclist died while receiving medical treatment at Hospital Segamat, while the 18 and 26-year-old survivors suffered severe injuries to their heads and bodies. The two survivors are currently in the red zone of the hospital. The police investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging the owner of the dashboard camera and any other witnesses to come forward and assist them by contacting the Segamat police hotline at 07-9325811.
