PETALING JAYA: mStar, the entertainment and lifestyle portal, was awarded the Best National Viral Page/Channel at the KNKV Viral Award event held at Zepp Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday night (Feb 20).
Out of the five competitors in the final stage, mStar emerged victorious.
Mohd Fuad Mohd Noor, the head of mStar Bahasa Vertical, and Tuan Hafis Tuan Ludin, the head of Social Media and Influencer Marketing Team, received the trophy at the event.
The top five nominations were based on fan votes, and the winner was picked by a jury.
Established in 2005, mStar initially featured news and entertainment content before expanding to include viral news, breaking news, and sensational entertainment.
The KNKV Viral Award 2024 is aimed at recognizing influencers, content creators, viral platforms, and top viral channels in Malaysia.
A total of 16 categories were contested, including Best National Influencer, Best National Content Creator, and Best National Platform/Channel (Best National Viral Page/Channel).
