KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin arrived at the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) building on Tuesday (Sept 12) to give a statement to the police. He arrived at 9.28am in a black MPV.
After entering the building, a man claiming to be a MIDA official informed the press waiting at the main entrance that they were not allowed to cover the event or take photographs while on the MIDA premises. The official questioned their presence and stated that it was his building.
An investigation by Bukit Aman is underway regarding a recent ceramah by the former prime minister, and they are expected to record Muhyiddin’s statement. Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, stated that Bukit Aman CID’s Special Investigation Unit had already contacted the Perikatan Nasional chairman. Two police reports have been filed regarding this matter.
Earlier, Muhyiddin made a statement that it is “haram” or sinful to vote for Pakatan Harapan’s Pulai parliamentary seat candidate, Suhaizan Kaiat.
