Former Malaysian Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has left the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida) building after providing a statement to the police.
On Tuesday (Sept 12), at around 10.25am, Muhyiddin was seen exiting the building.
When asked about the process, he responded with a thumbs up before getting into his black MPV.
The police investigation is reportedly linked to a recent ceramah (public speech) by the former prime minister.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay stated that the Special Investigation Unit of Bukit Aman CID (Criminal Investigation Department) had already made contact with Muhyiddin, who is the chairman of the Perikatan Nasional coalition.
So far, two police reports have been filed regarding this issue.
