A woman who recently gave birth was drugged and her newborn was taken from a hospital in Tamil Nadu, India. This incident was reported by Makkal Osai.
The mother, named Suryakala, was in the hospital ward after delivering her third child when she was approached by a woman named Padma. Padma seemed friendly and they had a meal together.
After the meal, Suryakala felt drowsy and fell asleep. Upon waking up, she discovered that her baby was missing.
Since they couldn’t find the newborn, Suryakala’s family filed a police report.
The police went through over 500 CCTV recordings at the hospital in search of any footage related to the incident. They were able to find footage of Padma leaving the hospital with Suryakala’s baby.
They also found CCTV footage of Padma boarding a bus to Thiruvannamalai city.
Padma and her husband were arrested shortly after, and the baby was found in their possession.
Finally, the newborn was safely returned to the relieved mother.
