KUALA LUMPUR: MYAirline has decided to temporarily suspend its operations starting from Thursday (Oct 12) due to significant financial pressures, according to a Facebook post by the airline.
The airline’s board of directors expressed regret over the decision and apologized for the inconvenience it may cause to passengers, employees, and partners. The board confirmed that the suspension is necessary pending shareholder restructuring and recapitalization to address the airline’s financial challenges.
Efforts were made by MYAirline to explore various partnership and capital-raising options in order to avoid suspending operations. However, time constraints ultimately left them with no other alternative.
MYAirline acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the suspension and assured affected individuals that it will provide assistance. The airline’s teams will be working tirelessly to resume operations as soon as possible, although no specific timeline can be provided at this stage.
Passengers affected by the suspension are advised not to proceed to the airport and should seek alternative travel arrangements. MYAirline emphasized that they can contact [email protected] for further assistance.
