After two years in office, Najmuddin Jemain, 48, has resigned as the president of the KAJANG Municipal Council (MPKj).
Members of the MPKj staff confirmed that Najmuddin’s term ended on October 19, and his deputy, Mohd Fareez Mohd Ariss @ Mohd Hatta, was appointed as the acting president of the council starting from October 20.
Najmuddin, who previously served as the deputy president of MPKj from 2017 to 2020, was appointed as the council’s president on July 19, 2021, while still holding the position of Hulu Langat district officer.
Najmuddin received his Bachelor’s degree in Law from Universiti Malaya in 1999 and later obtained his Masters from the same university in 2009.
He has previously worked at the Public Service Department in Putrajaya and the Lands and Mines Department (JKPTG) in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Selangor.
